Urbana Theological Seminary invites applications for a tenure track faculty
position as Assistant Professor in Christian and Biblical Counseling, to begin August 1,
2012. Urbana Seminary, located in Champaign-Urbana, IL two hours south of Chicago,
is a broadly evangelical and interdenominational graduate school. Requirements for the position include: a growing and vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ; demonstrated excellence as a teacher of adult learners from diverse backgrounds; expertise and current practice in the field of Christian counseling; a desire to effectively communicate to contemporary society; a flexible style that embraces innovative approaches to teaching and ministry; and a desire to teach and learn in a community of scholars. Candidates must possess the appropriate skills and aptitude, plus a willing desire, to help Urbana Seminary build a graduate level counseling program. Applicants must be able to abide by Urbana Theological Seminary’s Statement of Core Beliefs and agree with the mission and vision of the institution. Candidates should have a terminal degree; ABDs may be considered. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications.
