Urbana Seminary has entered an articulation agreement with Columbia International’s Seminary in South Carolina. The agreement details how some Urbana Seminary courses transferred into Columbia’s Master’s degree programs, thus making it possible for students in the Midwest to use Urbana Seminary classes as components of the degree programs at Columbia. Columbia is especially renowned for its emphasis on and curriculum in World Missions. In addition, Urbana Seminary students are also welcome to use Columbia’s courses as transfer credit in Urbana's Master’s programs, per the policies on transfer of credit in the catalogue. We welcome this new means of collaboration to enrich curricular offerings and accessibility at both schools. To find out more about the agreement’s specifications on acceptance of Urbana Seminary credit in Columbia’s programs please contact the office (217-365-9005 or e-mail office@urbanaseminary.org).

In March 2010, Urbana Theological Seminary received Applicant Status from the Association of Biblical Higher Education, a Commission on Accreditation. The Seminary will be performing a Self Study and consulting with ABHE staff so that we can reach the Candidate status by 2014. We are happy to be moving forward with the accreditation process and excited about the possibilities this opens for our students.
