BI/CH 740 Mary Magdalene, The DaVinci Code, and the Role of Women in the Early Church Offered fall 2006
Description: A course in two parts: the first eight weeks will be a one hour course in Mary Magdalene and the DaVinci Code. The second eight weeks will be a one hour course in women in the early church.
BI 740 Wisdom in the Old Testament Offered spring 2007
Description: A study of the Wisdom books of the Old Testament—Proverbs, Job, Ecclesiastes and Song of Songs. Consideration of the nature of wisdom, parallels in surrounding cultures, and application for living today.

Description: An introduction to the Koine Greek language of the New Testament.
BL 502 New Testament Greek 2 Offered every other spring
Description: A continuation of the introduction to the Koine Greek language with emphasis on vocabulary, syntax, the verbal system, and reading in the Greek text. Prerequisite: BL 501 or its equivalent. This course offers graduate credit for students in programs other than the M.Div. degree.

Description: Introduction to the classical Hebrew language. Acquisition of basic vocabulary, nouns, adjectives, and the strong verb.
BL 552 Classical Hebrew 2 Offered every other spring
Description: A continuation of the introduction to classical Hebrew. Emphasis will be placed on syntax, verbs, and readings of selected passages from the Hebrew Old Testament.
BL 610 Hebrew Exegetical Study Offered every other fall
Description: A study of the methods of exegesis and uses of textual criticism within the original Hebrew text of the Old Testament. Prerequisite: BL 551-552 or knowledge of Hebrew.
BL 611 Greek Exegetical Study: I Corinthians Offered every other fall
Description: An in-depth study of the book of I Corinthians in the original Greek. Prerequisite: BL 501-502 or knowledge of Greek.

CH 612 The History of Evangelicalism and Fundamentalism Offered summer 2007
Description: A historical examination of the theology, popular beliefs, and folkways of American Evangelicalism and the rise of the movement known as Fundamentalism. Various groups included within the Evangelical family will be studied, including the Pentecostal and Charismatic movements. The modern multi-sided definition of the movements will also be explored as well as the history of evangelical and fundamentalist participation in American politics and public life.

PM 650 Practicum: Summer Short Term Mission Offered every summer
Description: This course will provide students with a practical, supervised experience in cross-cultural missions. This will be done in tandem with student selected and seminary approved mission agencies. The student is responsible to identify, apply for, and raise funding for the mission trip. The seminary will provide opportunity for relevant research and integration of the experience in reflective writing. The prospective student must have the approval of the instructor in order to enroll.
