URBANA THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY ANNOUNCEMENTS

Spring Term 2008

  1. All students must register. This includes students taking the class for credit and those auditing the class. If you have not already done so, you may register on line at www.urbanaseminary.org or register at the Seminary office. If you have any questions about registration, please contact Carrie Blount in the Office at 365-9005 or at cblount@urbanaseminary.org.
  2. All textbooks for Seminary courses may be purchased at TIS Bookstore at 707 South 6th Street in Champaign. The textbooks are located on the second floor. TIS has also begun to build a Theological Browsing section, located to the immediate left of our course textbooks.
  3. All students are expected to sign the unofficial attendance sheets distributed throughout classes to help us confirm official registration.
  4. During the spring the Seminary Library is open from 10–5 Monday through Friday and Saturday 12–3, and Monday evenings until 6. All students are encouraged to use the resources of the Seminary Library, located next to the Seminary office on the third floor of the University Baptist Church at 314 East Daniel Street. Important theological resources and journals for research projects are available. Required and recommended class materials are also on Reserve. We are currently looking for a new Head Librarian. Contact the office for more information.
  5. Absence from class does not constitute withdrawal. For full tuition refund, withdrawal from class must be done before January 25th. After January 25th, tuition refunds with be given on a pro-rated basis. If you have any questions about Seminary policies or academic regulations, please consult the Seminary catalogue or check the Seminary website at www.urbanaseminary.org.
  6. Call the Seminary office (365-9005) if you would like to set up an appointment for academic advising, especially to discuss programs of the Seminary (Master of Divinity; Master of Arts in Religion; or Graduate Certificate).
  7. If you have papers from previous semesters they are now available in the Seminary office. Please come pick them up! Papers will be kept for one full year and then thrown away.
  8. There will be a back to school Worship Service this Friday, February 1st from 5:30–6:30 in the sanctuary on the second floor of 314 East Daniel. We encourage you to come and start the school year in worship to God.
  9. Urbana Seminary catalogues are available at the office. Stop by and pick one up. Urbana Seminary sweatshirts and t-shirts are available in the office as well. Show your school pride and purchase one.
