Search tips:

• Spelling and punctuation MATTER! If you think the library has a book but it’s not turning up in your search results, try redoing the punctuation. Remember:
• Author names are in the form “Last name, First name”
• Try using “&” for “and” and vice versa
• Try using numerals as well as written versions for numbers
• Don’t forget to check the boxes you’re trying to search! You may search multiple areas simultaneously.
• If you’re still not finding it, try searching just a key word or just the author’s last name.
• The “Advanced Search” option allows you to search by multiple values
• “Item Status” information is not updated automatically, so it can be inaccurate. Call the library to ensure the availability of items you need.
• Some books have their tables of contents entered into the catalog in the “Textstore.” These are searchable by checking the “Textstore” box while searching.
• Journals are not listed in the catalog.
• If you’re having problems, contact me and I’ll try to help.
• If a book is marked “Remote Storage” it is still accessible! Request forms are available in the library, or you can e-mail me your request including the following information: title, author, date, edition and volume (if relevant), and location. You will be contacted when the item is available.
