Professor, Biblical Studies (NT)—Applications for the position of New Testament professor were accepted through February 29, 2008. The deadline is now closed.
Urbana Theological Seminary (Champaign-Urbana, IL) invites applications for a tenure track position in New Testament, with a strong secondary specialty in another discipline, preferably Church History, beginning August 1, 2008. The successful candidate will have, or be near to completion of, a Ph.D. in New Testament and will be able to teach introductory and advanced courses in Biblical Studies. Besides excellent teaching skills, the candidate needs to present publications and an on-going program of research (or evidence of promise). The successful candidate will show commitment to the Mission and Vision, as well as to the Core Beliefs, of the Seminary (available on website), and demonstrate interpersonal skills in working with students. Applicants should evidence a growing personal faith in Jesus Christ, a heart for ministry, and flexibility to serve in the stimulating process of establishing a new seminary.
